The Swampland cobordism conjecture predicts various new objects in a theory with dynamical gravity. Applying this idea to the Standard Model of particle physics, a string object is predicted. We numerically constructed such an object as a black string solution.

  1. Do Fair Models Reason Fairly? Counterfactual Explanation Consistency for Procedural Fairness in Credit Decisions

    cs.LG 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Outcome-fair credit models often exhibit hidden procedural bias through inconsistent reasoning across groups, which the CEC framework mitigates by enforcing consistent feature attributions via counterfactuals.

  2. Sharpened Dynamical Cobordism

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Sharpened Dynamical Cobordism ties the allowed range of critical exponent δ to theory structure ξ, flagging obstructions from non-trivial cobordism charges that require new degrees of freedom.

  3. Bordisms between 9d type IIB supergravities and commutator widths of duality groups

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Proposes a refinement of the Swampland Cobordism Conjecture for Ω1(BG) with duality bundle G, where diverging commutator width of G requires infinitely many duality defects to realize monodromies via gravitational solitons.

  4. Bordisms between 9d type IIB supergravities and commutator widths of duality groups

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Proposes a refinement of the Swampland Cobordism Conjecture for duality groups, arguing that diverging commutator widths necessitate infinitely many duality defects to realize monodromies in 9d supergravity bordisms.

  5. A Casimir obstruction to asymptotically flat black-brane completions of non-supersymmetric 7-branes

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Casimir backreaction obstructs asymptotically locally flat black-brane completions of naked singularities in non-supersymmetric 7-brane solutions within the studied ansatz.
